Oliver Zolton Toth

Passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Lafontaine Terrace at the age of 77. Beloved father of Bob Toth and his wife Valerie, Ginnie Schmuck Munro and her husband John Schmuck, Linda Toth-Winterkorn and her husband Brett Winterkorn. Grandfather of Lindsay and Justin Toth, Taylor Schmuck Munro, and Chelsea and Brittany Winterkorn. Brother of Irene and George. Predeceased by his parents Irene and Stephen Toth, his much loved aunt and uncle, Margaret and Andrew Stacho, and three brothers, Alec, Bill and Bob. Oliver will be greatly missed by Rose, his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Oliver was a proud father and grandfather, Sergeant in the Reserve Army 54th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, one of the original School Masters with the Waterloo Regional School Board, supervisor at Uniroyal, Concession Manager at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, in sales and promotions at CKKW, and an insurance agent for 40 years. He was a philanthropist and a proud member of the local Lions Club; a history buff, linguist, and a sports enthusiast.

At Oliver’s request, cremation has taken place.
Oliver’s family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 2 pm until the time of service at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, (519) 749-8467. A Celebration of Oliver’s Life will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 3 pm.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region or Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.
