Rosemary Pitcher

Peacefully, at her residence, on Thursday, February 20, 1992, Rosemary Pitcher (Scanlan) of Waterloo.
Mrs. Pitcher was a freelance writer and correspondent for over 40 years, beginning with the K-W Record. She was also a regional reporter for all the major Toronto newspapers. She interviewed many world dignitaries and enjoyed travelling with her late husband, W.J. Pitcher. She was also a court reporter for CKCO-TV. Rosemary was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s RC Church.
Beloved mother of Maureen Sawa of Kitchener, James Pitcher Esq. and his wife Dianne of Waterloo. Dr. Harrison (Harry) and his wife Laura of Ottawa. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jake Sawa and Stephanie Pitcher. Dear sister of Eileen and her husband Jim Fischer and Joe Scanlan, all of Kitchener.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, William James (W.J.) Pitcher in 1990; three brothers, Wilfrid, Bert and Jim Jr.
Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 612 King St. W., Kitchener, this evening (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. The parish vigil service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at St. Mary’s RC Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. L. Keasey, CR, officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
