Rita Glennie

Agnes Margaret (Rita) Glennie – At St. Mary’s Hospital, September 2, 1983 after a brief illness.

Born in Ottawa, she attended Rupertsland College in Winnipeg, Netherwood School for Girls in Rothesay, N.B. and Mount Allison University in Sackville, N.B. where she received a Bachelor of Music degree. For the past 27 years she was a member of the staff of C.A.P. Communications Limited of Kitchener.

Predeceased by her father and mother and brother, Alan. She is survived by her sister, Viola Sanders of La Jolla, California; her brother, Grant Glennie of Cambridge; 11 nieces and nephews, Glen Darby of Newbury Park, Calif., Grant Darby of Sequim, Wash., Jessica Darby of San Diego, Calif., Lois Wall of Brantford, Linda Hallman of Rothesay, N.B., Nancy Freitag of Cambridge, Diana Glennie of Waterloo, Alan Glennie of Toronto, Bruce and Laura Glennie of Banff, Alta., Rob Glennie of Cambridge.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or service at the funeral home. Arrangements for cremation have been made. A service for family members will be held at the time of internment in the family plot in Saint John, N.B.
