Eric Sutherland
September 28, 1925 – May 27,1995

On Saturday, May 27, 1995, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, Eric J. Sutherland, of Morningside Village, New Hamburg and formerly of Kitchener.

He was born in Owen Sound 69 years ago, a son of the late Irving and Lillian (Wilson) Sutherland. He had been employded at CKCO-TV Kitchener as Technical Operations Supervisor for approximately 35 years. Eric enjoyed refinishing old furniture for family and friends and was an avid runner. He had served in the Canadian Military Service during the Second World War.

Beloved husband of the former Jo Anne March, whom he married on July 19, 1963. Loving father of Mary Susan and her husband Murray Kropf of Welland and dear granddad to Peter James Kropf. Lovingly remembered by his sister, Helen and her husband Wilfred Dennis of Morningside Village, New Hamburg, one niece, Karen Mulligan and one nephew, Jim Dennis. He was predeceased by one brother, Wilson Sutherland.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service in Eric’s memory at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Thursday, June 1, 1995 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Arthur Higginbotham officiating. Cremation has taken place with internment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Centre.
