Alex MacLean

On Saturday, July 10, 1982, Munroe Alexander (Alex) MacLean, aged 57 years, of 130 Mount Hope St., Kitchener.
Father of Katherine and her husband Gregory Boehm of Kitchener, Margaret and her husband John Bingeman of Waterloo and Elizabeth at home; proud grandfather of Jonathan Boehm, Ian Bingeman, Jennifer and Scott Buchanan of Ottawa, Leah and her husband Douglas Sparks of Etobicoke and Stephen Roth of Elmira; brother of Pauline and her husband James Stewart, Doreen and her husband James MacDonald, Ronald and his wife Iris, Donna and her husband Robert Hamilton, Murray and his wife Carol, all of British Columbia.
Predeceased by his first wife, the former Elaine Strong in 1971; his second wife, the former Marion (Ritzer) Roth in 1981; his father, Allan MacLean and his mother, Edith Davis.
Mr. MacLean was a member of First United Church, Waterloo and was proud to have been a lifetime member of the K-W Optimist Club. He served overseas with the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War and continued this service upon his return from overseas until 1952, the was employed with CKCO Television and later with B.F.Goodrich Canada Inc. until his retirement.
The family will welcome visitors on Monday and Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. at the home of Margaret Bingeman, 386 Grangewood Drive, Waterloo.
A memorial service will be held at First United Church, King at William St. in Waterloo, on Wednesday, July 14, 1982 at 3 p.m. Rev R.H. McColl will conduct the service.
Expressions of sympathy may be shown by donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation or K-W Optimist Club.
