Rick Smith
April 16, 1945 – April 2, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Norman “Rick” Smith announce his passing on April 2, 2025, at Bluewater Health, at the age of 79.

Beloved husband of Bernice Fisher. Loving father of Stephanie and Simon (Tanya). Adored grandfather of Haley (Chad), Jordan (Jordon) and Avery. Dear great-grandparent of Lily, Rosa, Malcolm and Jack. Predeceased by Margaret Bailey and Mary Kehoe-Smith.

Rick was the Sarnia-Lambton reporter for CKCO/CTV for 30 years.

The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care Rick received from the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health. Rick’s family would also like to thank the members of the St. Giles Presbyterian Church for their support.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service with reception will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (770 Lakeshore Road, Sarnia) on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Live streaming is available.
