Ernst (Ernie) Wilhelm Eilender

September 29, 1931 – March 6, 2023

Passed away peacefully on March 6th 2023 at Freeport Hospital at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Maggie) Eilender of 67 years. Loving father of Paul (Janine) and Peter. Survived by his twin brother Alfons (Alex) Eilender, and his wife Janet (Lory), his brother Helmut Eilender, and his niece Gabi Smuk and family. Predeceased by his parents, Alfons and Erna.

Ernie loved to design and create art at his business, Eilender Design and Associates, until his retirement where he continued to explore art and design for pleasure with unfailing enthusiasm. He also had a love for (German) cars and for auto racing, a passion he was happy to share with his son Paul. He enjoyed traveling the world and sharing wonderful cultures and cuisines with his wife/best friend Maggie.

Charismatic, enthusiastic and good-natured, Ernie was very outgoing and loved tochat with anyone (and everyone) on his favourite topics including Germany, where he lived during much of his youth, art and architecture, and above all his loving creator Jehovah whom he served faithfully. He will be dearly missed by all.

Private cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home. 507 Frederick St. Kitchener.

Ernie’s family invite everyone to join in a memorial service on March 18, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 355 Gage Avenue, Kitchener.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St Mary’s Hospital foundation would be appreciated by the family.
