Bruce passed away April 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a hard fought battle with a sepsis infection…. Bruce was born February 14, 1956 in Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents George (Ted) and Mary (Panchanc) Emmerson, brother Donnie, sister Claudia (Morrison), (Meihm), Ivey, nephew Kevin Brewer and cousin Alex Ferguson. Bruce is survived by brothers, Keith Brewer (Dorina) Moncton, NB, David Mason (Yvonne), Rotoura, NZ, and sister, Paula Campbell, North Sydney and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bruce’s favourite saying was: “There are only two things in life to get stressed about. Things you have no control over, and things you can change. Change the things you can, and don’t worry about the things you have no control over”! Bruce always had time for friends in need and spared in well being for others…Bruce had a varied working career with most of it spent in broadcasting, and after 11 years of retirement returned to work as an Associate for Walmart. Bruce was very involved with The Concordia Club, especially the Farm Outdoor Group, Oktoberfest, and Christkindl Market! The Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held Friday, April 13th, at the Concordia Club, 429 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, ON. N2M 3P6 Visitation starting 2:00p.m. Memorial 3:00 p.m. – light refreshments to follow! As expressions of sympathy – donations to The Farm’s Outdoor Group would be appreciated! Our sincere thanks to the generosity of the St. Mary’s Hospital front line staff, Doctors, and most importantly the ICU staff who “worked their butts off” to try and save Bruce. We are so grateful to you all!
