Country Calendar
Aired on CBC-TV beginning in 1954 (began airing on CKCO-TV in January, 1955)
Country Calendar debuted in 1954 as the CBC’s national magazine of agricultural news and information programme. (CKCO-TV left as a CBC affiliate in September of 1963) The program continued to cover farm news, but also aimed to be pertinent to urban viewers. It continued to exchange information and programming with other nations and to cover developments in Canada through a network of regional contributors
CKCO-TV’s contribution in 1959 was a production done at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. Commentators were Johnny Moles and Harold Dodds.
