Gordon Schaus
July 3, 1917 – December 29, 1969

Gordon J. Schaus of 181 King St. E., died today at his home after a heart attack. He was 52.

Born in Hanover July 3, 1917, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Schaus and had lived in the Twin Cities for the past 42 years. He was formerly a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.

Mr. Schaus was a radio announcer with CKCR Kitchener for more than 25 years and for two years had been employed by CKCO-TV and CKKW radio.

Surviving are his step-mother, Mrs. Mary Albera Schaus, Kitchener; his wife, the former Jean Botiuk; one son, Gordon, Kitchener; one brother, Allan, Alma; one step-brother, Clarence Knechtel, Sault Ste, Marie, Ont.; one sister, Mrs. John (Idella) Brant and one step-sister, Nrs. Delton (Edna) Brighton, both of Kitchener. One brother, Reuben, predeceased him.

The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home afternoon Tuesday where Rev. F. W. Zinck will conduct the service Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.

Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
